About
An independent refrigeration service, working Denver kitchens.
Sub-Zero Appliance Repair Denver works on one class of equipment: built-in Sub-Zero refrigeration. Columns and side-by-sides, undercounter cabinets, clear-ice makers and wine storage — the units that are part of the joinery and cannot simply be wheeled out and swapped.
Why one class of equipment
A built-in behaves nothing like a freestanding fridge. Two sealed systems in one cabinet, dual evaporators, dampers, panel-ready fronts and a machine compartment you reach through a grille rather than from the back. A general appliance round covers a dozen brands and sees these units occasionally. We see them all day, which is the whole difference when the fault is a drifted thermistor rather than a dead compressor.
Denver adds its own habits. Dry air hides a blocked drain until meltwater appears under the crispers instead of frost on a rear panel. Spring wind and cottonwood load a condenser faster here than in a wetter city, and a condenser that cannot breathe raises head pressure and takes years off a compressor. Hard water scales an ice mould and narrows a fill tube. None of that is exotic — it is just what the route teaches you.
How a call runs
Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.
- You describe the symptom What the display says, what the cabinet feels like, and when it changed. Half the diagnosis is in the description, and it decides which parts ride along.
- A slot, not a window all day Visits run 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. The phone is answered around the clock, so an overnight failure is on the board before the crew starts.
- The $89 diagnosis Temperatures at both circuits, pressures where they matter, and electrical checks on the suspect part. The fee is credited against the repair.
- A price before anything comes apart You hear what failed, what it costs to put right, and what happens if you leave it. Nothing is dismantled on an unknown number.
- Verified, then put back The cabinet is brought back into range and watched through a cycle before the technician leaves, and panel-ready joinery goes back the way it came out.
What we do not do
We do not sell you a new appliance
We have nothing to gain from a replacement, so when a repair is not worth it you get told that plainly, with the reason and the number behind it.
We do not quote blind
The bands on each repair page tell you the range to expect. What we will not do is turn one into a firm figure over the phone before anyone has seen the unit — on the phone you get the service call, the likely fault, and the band it sits in.
We do not work on cooking equipment
This is refrigeration: refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine storage. Ranges, ovens and hoods are somebody else’s trade, and we will say so.
We do not take email or forms
There is a phone number and a booking page, and that is deliberate: a refrigeration fault that sits in an inbox overnight costs you the contents of the cabinet.
